Description
The Social Studies Series, TAG- Be Social aligns with the vision of the National Curriculum Framework (2005). Starting off a as a simple Social Studies book, it slowly introduces the concepts of Geography, History and Civics in a subtle manner. The main features of this series: We have Question Station within the lesson which not only comes as a refresher, but also helps in revising the lesson which has been taught so far. Similarly, there is the Let's Talk element, where the teacher and students can actively participate in a discussion about the present chapter. Fact Alerts and What's the Buzz are valuable and additional pieces of information and happenings around the world which could be related to the current chapter. The difficult words in the chapter are collated towards the end of the chapter for future reference in Spotlight. Elements like Social Adventure and Go Social involve the whole class in an activity which is socially relevant. Social Responsibility goes a step ahead and ensures that students apply the knowledge that they have gained for a social cause.
